I was RAISED IN Philadelphia, PA.
Besides way too much homework, my day consists of Girl Scouts, piano lessons and choir rehearsal with the Philadelphia Girls Choir. Over the years, the UNIQUELY YOU SUMMIT has taught me to love and be proud of who I am.
I define #FORTHELOVEOFBLACKGIRLS as loving and encouraging black girls of every shape, size and color.
I feel most brave when I stand up for myself or for someone else. Beautiful when I am confident in myself, and brilliant when I learn new things. If I could tell black girls one secret, it would be, "that you have everything you need to be great." And if I could change ONE STEREOTYPE about black girls, it would be, "that not all black girls are ghetto."
MY GREATEST INFLUENCE is MY MOM.
But my #BlackGirlInspiration is a quote by Ella Baker, "give light and others will find the way." Right now I'm reading, "The Skin I'm In" by Sharon G. Flake.
I will use my COVER GIRL PLATFORM to show the world that black girls are intelligent, care about their communities, and others.
And I will use my platform in service to encourage other girls to do what their hearts desire.
