I was RAISED IN Philadelphia, PA.

Besides way too much homework, my day consists of watching beauty tutorials on YouTube. Over the years, the UNIQUELY YOU SUMMIT has taught me to be beautiful, brilliant, and brave.  I have learned to acknowledge my natural beauty;  I have learned to conquer my biggest fears with bravery and I've learned to embrace my intelligence and smarts to better myself everyday.

I define #FORTHELOVEOFBLACKGIRLS as loving and embracing the different shades and personalities of every black girl in the world and empowering them to defy society's definition of black girls and rise up in power.

I feel most brave when I overcome something that I was afraid of.  Beautiful when I am natural and do not have any makeup on, and brilliant when I pass a test in one of my hardest classes. If I could tell black girls one secret, it would be, "that nobody can love you more than you love yourself."  And if I could change ONE STEREOTYPE about black girls, it would be, "that black girls are loud. I defy that stereotype because I am not loud, but rather soft-spoken, but I always get my message across. I still remain a leader in school without being loud and obnoxious."

My GREATEST INFLUENCE is MY GRANDMOTHER.

But my #BlackGirlInspiration is Malia Obama.  Right now, I'm reading "The Great Gatsby."

I will use my COVER GIRL PLATFORM to help be a voice for girls who are similar to me; that are too shy to stand up to injustices towards black girls in society.

And I will use it in service to grow as a person and to build relationships and acquire resources to spread ideas of self-love and  respect.  I am learning daily how to embrace myself, and with my COVER GIRL platform, I will pass on to other girls what I have learned.
